The Bridge On The River Kwai

The Bridge On The River Kwai was released in 1957. It tells the story of Col. Nicholson and other english soldiers that were being held cative in the Burma Jungle. Col. Nicholson who after settling his differences with a Japanese P.O.W. camp commander, co-operates to oversee his men's construction of a railway bridge for their captors.  As the bridge was being built he was completely oblivious to a plan by the Allies to destroy it.
